Dax had a fun day at DisneySea with his friend on Sunday so we decided to take the girls nearby to a beautiful plum grove that also has a great "ninja park" obstacle course. The plum blossoms come in the spring around the cherry blossoms and look alike. However, plum blossoms are missing the little notch out of the end of the petal. This grove has to be gorgeous in the spring and we will be making a return for sure. There are about 200 trees planted by the local community.
We took a city bus for the first time to get to the beginning of our hike. It was simple and the girls thought it was fun. Then we hiked for about 25-30 minutes to get to the observation tower/ninja park. The Japanese are the best about putting up maps to make things easy!!

Someone made a special box to display their solar powered moving animals in the window of their house. It was so cute.

Holly had to do a project for school where she takes the stuffed animal home and records his adventures. I'm pretty much over these kinds of projects but we lugged him to the top.

The NINJA Park
Even Moms/Dads enjoy doing some Ninja skills.
We happened upon this beautiful old style home on the way back. Their fence is made from large bamboo poles with tiny bamboo pieces as the fence. The house had sliding glass doors that opened up the entire home. It was so cool.
And we finally found a beer/sake vending machine! They have pretty much removed them from Japan. But this one is alive and well:)
