Dax's Ninja Park Hike Birthday Party!

I never like to follow the crowd so for Dax's birthday party we did a hike up to the Ninja park. This is the same hike we did without Dax a week before so he was excited to see what was up there. We had 5 boys plus our girls and one extra Dad. It was just a 25 minute hike (with lots of stairs) but no one complained even after the city bus was late and we had to wait 20 minutes.

When we arrived at the top, the kids went all out on the Ninja course.

First we had some hiking food - grapes and beef jerky. Then we played our own ninja skill games. We had "smoke bombs" to throw at enemy plates swinging in the trees, sling shot game where they knocked down cups, shooting game, as well as a chopstick relay with dried sardines. The sardine game was my favorite. And then a few people were even brave enough to try one!

The kids were all posing "ninja style" in front of the sign that was too big to capture with all of the little people in front. After we got home we had some pizza and then released the kids back to their parents. I know Dax had lots of fun and we enjoyed a wonderful family day that made some great memories.

Sounds fun! What did you use for smoke bombs?

We used little rice cracker balls that had seaweed on the outside. The kids liked that one. And they said they were pretty delicious as well:)
