9 years old!
Our boy made it! Yippie - although the post office failed us. No gifts have arrived yet so that was a little lackluster. He did get some great cards in the mail and Mom bought a few extras so that he had something to open today. I also did a last minute popsicle treat at the park with his friends/neighbors. They played for a couple of hours and had fun. And the lucky boy even got a couple of presents from his friends. And he finished it off with his requested dinner of steak burritos and grasshopper pie for dessert!
The matching shirt tradition holds strong for these two:)
This is toilet candy. You mix a powder with water in the toilet bowl and it bubbles and fizzes. You can then suck the candy up through a straw. Very Japanese.

How long does it take for mail to get to you? We guessed two weeks, but let me know if we should start earlier.

We've already sent your thank you note! It got here on his birthday so he was thrilled. We haven't done so well with presents. None of them arrived. ha ha. So he's fine but he really wants his new guitar. Thanks for thinking of him.
