I bought a new oil painting yesterday. There was an art show at the Boardwalk on Friday while I was at Stroller Strides. I just glanced as I walked by this guy's stall, but I was thinking about his paintings the entire weekend. Luckily, the show was still on when we got back from camping. I am positively in love with it. I've never before had an emotional response to a piece of art. I'm not sure why his style is so appealing to me. I think it might be the simplicity and clarity of the colors in the painting. But I do know that I hope to buy one of his big pieces someday.
